Time Heals All Wounds So They Say

They say that time heals all wounds, I guess I need some time, It took over 11 years for the pain to ease after my Father had passed and now with the passing of my Mother, it looks like it going to be along time before I can once again enjoy the holidays and to ease this pain that I carry in my heart!
My Father died in my arms September 26 1995.
My Mother Died in my arms September 18 2008.
I just don't have that kind of time anymore to ease this pain,so Please forgive me if I'm not Joyous over this Christmas season.
My Debbie has been a rock through all of these years and without her , who knows what would've become of me through out these trying times!
God Bless you all during this Christmas Season!
And as always, thanks for listening!

i don't think time heals all wounds, it eases them, but never heals them.
i feel for you, as my joyous Christmases stopped when my mother passed in 2002...then when son passed in 2004, it silenced my Christmases.
i still honor Christmas, as for the birth of Christ, but as for having a fun time & celebrating...that stopped a few yrs back.
glad you have debbie there, will keep you in my prayers...

You don't need to be joyous - you have had a rough year. I wish I could ease your pain, if only for a day. Keeping you in my thoughts & Prayers.

I think people make too much of holidays. We need to just remember the reason for the season. Believe me I know how you feel but that doesn't make it any less painful for you. I'm so glad you have Debbie with you.

You have had a rough year this year. It's perfectly normal to greive over again during the holidays. Do rejoice in the loving memories your Mom & Dad left for you, though.

I cannot imagine the heartache you must feel. It is perfectly understandable that you can't feel joyous right now. Don't think that you have to feel anything that you don't. Just let those that love you do what they can to help. If you can't have joy this Christmas I hope you at least have some peace and can feel the love of your parents surrounding you. I believe they are with you.

It's understandable that you are not going to be happy right now; especially this time of year.

I hope you can find some peace friend.
