Today?

Today is Earth Day, a day to help Mother Earth.
What are you going to due today to help her?

Myself, I'm setting here with all the power off except in the living room where my computer is.

Debbie and I try to conserve, reduce and recycle all year long.

I would love to get this rain water tank for my yard to water the lawn and my garden , it'll cut down on my water bill in the Summer plus reduce the waste of drinkable water being used on the yard.

We also take our own tote bags to the grocery store instead of using their plastic bags.

Now If only I can find away to recycle Debbie's Chicken Cacciatore!

And remember..........

Laissez les bon temps rouler!

And as always, thanks for listen !

You have some great ways of saving the earth except for Debbie's wonderful dinner she prepared for you! LOL

I would also love to have a rain bin. I left a bucket out over the past few days and I did get some water to use on my indoor plants. We moved here 4 1/2 years ago and I always recycle. Debbie's dinner looks wonderful. You are to much. Have a glorious day.

I'm not using much electricity today either! I would love a rain tank too, but believe or not, they're not allowed in our town because of mosquitos.

Your so talented. I am using the light of the day and will be bar-b-qing tonights dinner. I've also been collecting the rain water for different uses. Hoping there's no other use for Debbie's dinner other than to enjoy! Take care of you and yours my friend,
Katie

Hi Johnny,

I love your ideas, I will use this big hug tub I have outside now to collect rain water and use that to water my plants (great idea). I am not home so I have nothing on, I hate wasting electricity my house is usually dark except for the room I am in any how. Wow what a neat garden box I love how you have it all separated, does that help with the plants growth? Or just divide it so you know what is what? I still think that caccitore looks good!

LOL ... I was reading and thinking, this all makes sense, there's no joke here ... these are all great things to do for the Earth. Then I got to the part about Debbie's cooking and I knew I was in the right place!
Best,
Marty

When I was a kid, ya know back in the day...or two ago! We were stationed in Bermuda, where we lived for 5 and one half glores years. Water is in short supply there as it is an Island. So every house had a system where especially deep gutters were all around the roof to catch the rain water. Where it was guided to a holding reservoir under the house. It was like the basement was a pool. But all enclosed. This was the water you were to have for hosehold needs from rainy season to rainy season. Worked pretty good too!. I don't remember running out anyway...Cool huh?

i try to conserve & save every day.
i was raised in a house where if you're not using it, unplug it.
i save rain water & shower water for plants, etc. i also take very short showers & use luke warm instead of hot water for my showers & dishwater.
i hand wash dishes, instead of a dish washer. reusing the rinse water for plants.
i even turn the water off while brushing my teeth, etc.
huggies...

I think that rain barrel is a great idea. Our forefathers used them frequently!
