You get a double lung transplant.
You cough.
Then you realize the phlegm is not yours!
Now that is down right gross!
And remember.........
Laissez les bon temps rouler!
And as always, thanks for listening!

ONLY YOU WOULD THINK OF THAT...THAT'S DOWN RIGHT GROSSER THEN GROSS...UGH...LOL

Sandra
Lol... but how would you know it wasn't yours?
*M*
It is kinda gross, ain't it?!?! But seriously, speaking from experience, it ain't that bad...
I guess it's a matter of perspective... In the years before, the infected muck and the blood I was coughing up from my old CF lungs was pretty gross... But it was MY OWN pretty gross stuff... My own lungs were functioning at about 10% of expected, I was on oxygen 24/7 and they were slowly killing me...
A precious girl from Iowa passed away - a month before she had told her family how strongly she felt about organ donation... Yup -- the beautiful gift I received from her came with some snot that didn't belong to me... Luckily, when you're recovering from something like that -- it's not the first thing on your mind!
Some of my story is at www.ClimbingForKari.org along with pictures and letters about the girl whose lungs I breathe with...
Thanks for the reminder -- and the laugh...
Love,
Steve

All right, I not hungry for a snack now!
Well, yes, I guess it's gross ... and kudos to you for even thinking of it. But I'll take "gross" any day over being dead or hooked up a machine.
Best,
Marty
